The 12U OCWPC Boys teams paired up & geared up for some team building and down-and-dirty good fun at the annual Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Mud Run this year and they had a blast! Here are a few photos from the day; hope you enjoy!
Suited up and ready to jump on the next available bus to take us to the next leg of our journey towards the Camp Pendleton Mud Run.
We had to hoof it for a mile or so to get to the mud run, but there was plenty to see along the way.
Couldn’t pass up this opportunity – the coaches & the boys pose with Marines and their surface-to-air missile transport.
Checking in and getting their race numbers.
The troops advancing on the mud run festivities.
Coach Adam leading the advance.
Our race wasn’t for 30 minutes or so, so there was plenty of time to grab freebies like t-shirts being shot out of a cannon into the crowd.
Alright! It’s “Get Ready” time! Heading to the startline.
A last minute huddle before pushing into the crowd at the start line.
“Bang!” It’s “Go” time!
Let’s go, OC!
This is near the end of the race; the teams coming in together as one.
Coach Vlaho getting ready to take the muddy plunge.
Coach Nick leading the way into the muddy finale!
Vlaho with an assist! The rest of the gang slogging through and having a great time.
No, that’s not a scene from Platoon, it’s the boys pushing through the last hurdles, heading to the finish line.
You made it! Congrats, OC! Way to go! Now – off to the showers!
Getting ready to walk through the body wash stations and head into the crazy fun Dr. Bronners’ Magic Foam Experience Machine.
Ah, yeah! Dr. Bronner’s Magic Foam Experience Machine blanketing the kids and coaches in soapy peppermint fantastic foam! Now that’s how you get clean!
Coach Nick enjoying the foam!
Ah! The final wash down before heading off to even more good times with the team.
The day was amazing – the kids, coaches & parents had a blast and the team grew stronger. Can’t wait until next year! Go, OC!
