OCWPC Boys Selected for 2012 Regional Championships - Olympic Development Program
Orange County Water Polo Club had several 14u and 16u players compete at the Regional Championships in Fresno, California over the March 2-4, 2012 weekend. We are excited to have had these athletes participate in this exciting program with USA Water Polo. 14u players participating were Luke Wyatt, Jack Seybold, Bennie Seybold, Bennett Williams and Riley Zachary. For the 16u athletes, Sam Slobodien, Spencer Likens, Garrett Kaltenbach, Grady Williams and Brody Zachary. Congratulations to Bennie Seybold, Jack Seybold, Riley Zachary, Luke Wyatt, and Grady Williams who were invited to their respective Selection Camps.

OCWPC 16 & Under Boys Capture 1st Place in Kap7 Tournament
OCWPC's 16 & Under Boys Team captured 1st place in the 16u Platinum Division at the Kap7 Cup on April 15, 2012. OCWPC beat Anteater, Socal Black, South Coast and Rose Bowl to secure their 1st place finish.Players on the team are from the South Orange County areas of Irvine, Trabuco Canyon, Ladera Ranch, Monarch Beach, Laguna Niguel and San Clemente. The team trains at Santa Margarita's Aquatic Complex in Rancho Santa Margarita. It's not to late to join the fun and be part of a winning tradition. Orange County Water Polo Club is proud to announce the selection of three of its female athletes for USA Water Polo's Holiday Camp. For five days in early-December, Hylah Prussak, Maddie Long, and Aly Perkins will train and learn from the best coaches in the country at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Under the guidance of the Olympic Development Program (ODP), the camp will focus on specific training techniques used by the current Women's National Water Polo Team, including rigorous dry-land training and classroom instruction. Local Water Polo Players Excel In National Water Polo Tournament
Orange County Water Polo Club (OCWPC) Begins New Season
After Strong Showing At 2011 National Junior Olympics
For the last forty-two years, the National Junior Olympic
Water Polo Tournament has been the venue for the best clubs in the nation to
compete against one another. During this 4-day tournament, over 300 teams
compete at all levels ranging from 10 and Under through the Masters level. This
year, the tournament was held in Orange County at over 20 venues in the area.
Team Results
OCWPC finished their club season with a strong showing by
qualifying seven teams for the tournament:
10u Coed – 2nd Place, Gold Division
12u Boys – 10th Place, Platinum Division

In the Fall of 2010, Kevin Perkins and his two daughters began to look for an existing team where he could build a next generation water polo program for girls. Perkins, a San Clemente High School alumni, felt like there was an opportunity to add to the competitive landscape of existing area clubs while making it entirely fun for his daughters and their teammates. By focusing on fundamentals, teamwork, and game scenarios, he has built up the team within a year to qualify for the National Junior Olympic tournament.

OFF-SEASON IS THE TIME TO IMPROVE! OC Water Polo is starting a high school level group focused strictly on player development, position-specific coaching, and general team systems. All high schools are welcomed! Group will train for San Diego Cup, JO Qualifier, or similar level tournament along with weekly scrimmage against local area clubs.
